One thing that made my day and another thing that ruined it

So I started teaching at my current school in 2004. One of the first things I noticed on my hallway was that there was an incredibly huge booger stuck on the wall. Certainly gross, but oddly riveting. So I thought I would gauge the observation skills of other teachers in the building and would periodically ask out of the blue if anyone else had this this massive booger. Most times no, so I would of course show it off and tell the story of discovering it. I would also sometimes check just to make sure it was there. This lasted throughout the 2004-2005 school year and into 05-06. When this school year I checked to make sure it was still there and sure enough big large booger on wall in hallway. Mysteriously, the other day it dissappeared. It made me kinda sad in a way.

What ruined the day is that I was the first one to walk into the workroom this morning and what did I find. A poor little mouse trapped on a glue trap struggling to free itself and gasping for breath. I am not particularily a girly girl, but by God I screamed bloody murder and began to cry uncontrollably. Let me tell you, these men that I work with are great. You've never seen men move so fast as when a pregnant woman screams. Fortunately, they took it outside to the dumpster. Not long after I stopped crying, I realized that they had not killed it, only put it in the dumpster and it was out there in the cold dying a slow death. Then I thought, well there is plenty of food in there, he may last awhile. Completely ruined my day.

OMG! The rat thing cracked me up. when I was preg. w/Amber I had a cat in the house and he caught a mouse and was playing with it. I got so upset I called Antny who worked in Dalton on 3rd. I was crying my eyes out and he wouldn't leave work to come home and take care of my cat and his mouse. How rude can a guy be? I mean he was the father of the baby that I was carrying, and that incident could have thrown me right into premature labor, right?
